J.D. 1973, cum laude, William Mitchell College of Law; B.A., philosophy, St. Paul
Seminary. John is a founding partner of Gries & Lenhardt. He has extensive experience
in all aspects of corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate
law. In fact, he has more than 30 years experience providing quality legal work to individuals
and businesses in the community.
He is a member of the 18th District Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, and
the Minnesota Bar Association. He is also a prominent member of the I-94 West Chamber of
Commerce and the St. Michael-Albertville Rotary Club. His hobbies include golf, biking, and
spending time with his family and friends. In addition, he volunteers extensively. Among other
activities he volunteers with Common Hope, the C.S.J. Ministry Foundation, and his church. He
has served as a board member of several non-profits, and has built homes for the group Habitat
for Humanity.
